经文：诗六十三1-8
(一) 生命实在好
人生最宝贵的是甚麽？我相信绝大多数的人会说：“是生命”。不会有人说是金钱、名利地位，或各种享受等。因为有了生命，才有一切；丧失了生命，就丧失一切。正如耶稣所说的：“生命胜过饮食”(太六25)；又说：“人若赚得全世界，赔上自己的生命，有甚麽益处呢，人还能拿甚麽换生命？”(太十六26 )生命比全世界的财富，比饮食，各种享受, 都更宝贵。
有人说：“生命是无价的”。我还记得中学时代，在语文课本上就读到前苏联作家奥斯特洛夫斯基所著的[钢铁是怎样炼成的]里面的主人翁，保尔-柯察金有这样的一句名言：“人最宝贵的是生命，生命於人只有一次”。他很感叹生命的有限和短暂。
的确，生命实在可贵，而且一个人一生只此一次，一去就不再复返！难怪直到今天，还有人对“长生不老药”感兴趣，有许多人在寻找健康食物，都是希望活得更健康更长寿。但是，今天所读的经文告诉我们：有一样东西比生命更宝贵、更好的，那就是神的爱。
(二)爱比生命更好
诗六十三3说：“因您的慈爱比生命更好”！神的爱比生命更好。诗的小标题说：这是大卫的诗，是他在犹大的旷野的时候所写的。大卫在犹大的旷野，是他逃避他儿子押沙龙叛变，也正是他人生最黑暗、最辽倒的时候。但是一个人在越是困难的时候，他越是觉得神的爱的宝贵。因为有了神的爱才有生命的保障，有了爱活著才有意义。
第1节说，当时他正处“在那乾旱、疲乏、无水之地”。犹大的旷野是一块东近死海，西临大海，北靠黑门山，唯有南面加利利是平原，但是就在那里发生他人生最痛苦的事：亲生的儿子背叛他，而且要寻索他的命。为了生存，大卫疲於逃命。
然而就是在这样的困境中，大卫祷告说：“神阿，您是我的神，我要切切的寻求您…我渴想您，我的心切慕您。”这里用了三个十分强烈的动词：“寻求…渴想…切慕”，中文翻译得很好，表达了他的心全然向著神。
为甚麽大卫这样强烈渴慕神呢？第3节作答：因为此时此地，他深深感受到“神的慈爱比生命更好”，神的爱是他生命的保障；神的爱比一切荣华富贵、名声地位都更重要，更好。有了神的爱，即使身在旷野，仍然可以有依靠、有盼望。
我很喜欢《是爱》这首诗歌，诗人问道：“天为甚麽蓝？草为甚麽绿？甚麽使月亮放光？”回答是：“爱使天蓝，爱使草绿，神的爱使太阳温暖，月亮放光;神的爱使花香、鸟唱，因为爱使人活著有希望。” 诗人最後说：“如果有一天宇宙都变样，我们只求爱永在世上。”爱使人活著有希望，使世界变得可爱，爱是生命不可少的内容！人人需要爱，时时需要爱。
诗六十三篇大卫用他自身的经历来说明《爱比生命更好》。因为有了爱，即使遭遇不幸，走到乾旱、疲乏、无水之地，都不至绝望，甚至会像大卫发出感谢和赞美。如果有了爱，这个世界就不一样。 圣经中这样的例子还有：
得四15，当拿俄米抱著路得所生的儿子，圣经记载说：“因为是爱慕你的那儿妇所生的，有这儿妇比有十个儿子还好。”一个有爱的儿妇，比十个儿子更好。
撒上一8记载哈拿“的丈夫以利加拿对她说：…有我不比十个儿子还好麽。”的确，有一个深爱她的丈夫，比十个儿子更好。
反之，如果没有爱，人活著没有意义，甚至不想活。
故事1：非典流行时，香港有一位少女，不幸中招，医生尽全力，把她抢救过来，经过半年，幸运的康复出院。但是回到家中，发现与亲人隔离，弟弟妹妹都怕她；到学校，同学另眼看待，受不了，终於走向自杀的结局。
故事2：这次南亚海啸，有一个人死里逃生，但他获救以後看见家园满目疮痍，家人全死了，自己也不想活了！今天许多人自杀，都与没有爱，绝望，生活失色有关。
今天的世界需要甚麽？许多人都会说：需要和平，稳定，幸福。但是没有爱，世界能和平？社会能稳定？家庭能幸福吗？回答是否定的。相反，只要有了爱，大家以爱相待，世界必然和平，生命才有保障，生活才能幸福。
新闻：在南亚海啸发生时，有两对游客同时被困在一个地方，一对是巴勒斯坦人，一对是以色列人，在患难中，他们以爱相待，互相帮助，双双获救。
这样的故事在圣经中，在现实生活中，到处可见。
所以，爱确实比生命更好。世界需要爱，社会需要爱，人人需要爱。
(三)爱从神而来
那麽爱从何处来？唯有圣经告诉我们：爱从神而来。约壹四7说：“亲爱的弟兄啊，我们要彼此相爱”，下文说：“因为爱是从神来的”。世界上有许多的宗教，除了邪教以外，都是探讨人生，他们顶多教人怎样作好。唯基督教宣扬神的爱，高举耶稣基督十字架的大爱，盼望所有的人都得到这种比生命更好的爱。
第8节：“没有爱心的，就不认识神。”今天这个世界没有爱，是因为人犯罪远离神。那里有了神，那里才有爱。“因为神就是爱。神差他独生子到世间来，使我们藉著他得生(命)，神爱我们的心，在此就显明了。”耶稣带来了人生最宝贵神性的爱。这是一种伟大的爱，牺牲的爱。这个爱改变了罪恶的世界，这个爱使人今生活著有希望，将来进入永生。
见证：中国一代文豪老舍，他的原名叫舒庆春，满洲人，从小住在北京，父亲死於八国联军的炮火。他为甚麽起名叫“老舍”呢？因为他极其敬佩耶稣舍命的大爱。老舍自己说他在没有信主之前，曾沉溺在烟、酒和麻将之罪中，身体消瘦，痰中带血。後来生了一场大病，昏迷不醒，几乎丧命。但是他信主以後，戒酒、戒烟，并且常常祷告，用功读经，学习事奉主，後来从事写作，神赐他智慧，渐渐成为中国的一代文豪。他写了许多有关耶稣基督舍己救人的文章和故事，在他的著作中有圣经的词句和真理。1922年，他23岁在北京受洗，受洗後，曾积极从事慈善事业。解放後，他因为看到新中国的进步而满腔热情的写了许多文章歌颂。在他的作品中，或多或少，有意无意的流露他的信仰。於是文革时被隔离审查，残酷批斗。1966年老舍曾入选诺贝尔文学奖，很可惜当年他投入北京青年湖自杀，以致落选。因为诺贝尔奖金从来不会发给死人。不过，他对基督的爱和信仰，始终坚贞不移。他舍弃了金钱、名利和地位，他觉得爱比生命更好更可贵。
世界上最高尚、最伟大的爱，就是：神的大爱，耶稣基督长、阔、高、深的爱！得到了这爱，就“得到永生”----永远的生命当然比属世几十年的生命更好。人生几十年，很快就要过去，约壹五12：“人有了神的儿子，就有生命；没有神的儿子，就没有生命”。神儿子的生命就是永远的生命；所以人有了神的儿子，人生就有希望，世界就有和平，生活就幸福。
爱从哪里来？爱从神而来，“神就是爱”，这爱藉著耶稣的死表明出来，又藉著圣灵浇灌在我们心中，叫我们彼此相爱，叫爱永在世上。
(四)如何得到爱
来信耶稣，他是神的爱的化身，他带来了神的大爱。
如何信耶稣得永生？罗十9教导我们说：“你若口里认耶稣为主，心里信神叫他从死里复活，就必得救。”呼求主名，就必得著。
来信耶稣，耶稣爱你，他的爱比生命更好，他的爱叫你的世界更美丽，他的爱叫你人生有希望。
诗六十三8说：“我心紧紧的跟随您，您的手扶持我。”对於已信主的基督徒而言，大卫指出有两点很重要：第一，我的心紧紧跟随。大卫紧紧跟随主，我们就更要如此，有一个愿意的心像主那样，学主榜样。这样，他的爱就充满我们的心，激励我们去生活。
第二， 求主右手扶持。我们都是软弱的，靠自己不能的，来靠主，他凡事都能。他能用右手扶持，使我们坚固，使我们在这个世代，成为他的恩爱标本。
让我们一起，把耶稣的爱，身体力行传给这个世代；让这个世界变得更好，更美丽可爱，更有希望。因为爱比生命更好。
